Last year, I visited Saudi Arabia for the first time. The intention of the trip was to perform what is known to Muslims worldwide as Umrah, a pilgrimage to Mecca. Additionally, I also visited Al-Masjid an-Nabawi, also known as The Prophet’s Mosque. As much as I looked forward to it all, I was still blown away at every turn. I also had a camera strapped to me at all times, because I knew I had to document the first time I laid my eyes on all the places which I grew up studying.
